Kentucky Homefront

Mad Tea will be performing at the Clifton Center in Louisville on August 13. We will be part of a live taping of the Kentucky Homefront radio show which will be aired on WFPK. John Gage, the founder of of Kentucky Homefront, believes that by “presenting regional grassroots performing artists in their respective cultural contexts, the artists’ work contributes to the life of the cultural tradition from which it comes and builds on that tradition to create new expressions that reflect the spirit of a people.” John Gage was a dear friend of Jason’s dad Tim Krekel while he was alive, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of his show.

In the meantime, here’s a shot of us (by Mindy Neill) from this time last year, playing Bele Chere:

  1. Us too!

  2. Looking forward to this weekend!
